Ten Seconds More…

About a year or so ago, I discussed several trivia apps in Ten Second Trivia

Two other trivia games I have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of recently are KO Trivia and Lucky Draw. They are separate and independent downloads but any points earned in one app are linked and synched with the other. With these trivia apps, you pick from several current or future trivia games which show up on your home screen - each game slated to begin at a specific time anywhere from a few seconds to 24 hours away. There are always active and new games available to join in both apps and they each provide a running countdown clock to the start time of any games you've joined.

Actual game play is identical in both KO Trivia and Lucky Draw. You have three lives - meaning you can miss up to two multiple choice answers and still remain alive in the game. If you get three wrong answers, your game ends (but if everyone guesses a wrong answer to a particular question everyone is spared a life for that one question).

The methods of scoring are what differentiates one app from the other. With KO Trivia, everyone who enters each game will win some amount of points. The longer you survive in the game the more points you will be awarded. If you bow out early, your points will be minimal, while if you are the last man standing, you will get the largest amount. As for Lucky Draw, you play to win a ticket and not everyone will successfully win tickets in each game. The stakes of the different Lucky Draw games and the number of active participants determines how long you must survive in order to win a ticket. Those tickets then put you into a later drawing for the prize pool (each differing stakes game has its own lottery draw prize pool). Each pool has varying tiers of points awarded based upon what place your ticket is drawn. The actual prizes are revealed to you in reverse order with the usernames for each prize winner displayed on your screen. The more tickets you earn, the better your chances are for a higher prize amount. There will be some times when there are more tickets entered than prizes available and some players will walk away empty handed, but you will receive some (if not quite a few) points in the vast majority of prize draws. (I promise - seeing this process in action is much less confusing than my pitiful explanation makes it sound!)

KO Trivia and Lucky Draw each have their own pros and cons, but they really are a fun way of passing time on a lazy afternoon. And unlike many of the apps featured in Ten Second Trivia, it is much easier to actually accumulate valuable points redeemable for cash with these two trivia apps!

Test your knowledge of useless trivia today with KO Trivia and Lucky Draw. What have you got to lose?
